SARA PARKER | President, Director of Events
Sara Parker graduated from Providence College, Rhode Island with a B.S. in Business Management-Marketing in 2007. She also studied abroad at the University of New South Wales, Australia in her fall semester of 2005. During college, Sara planned events in and around Boston, with a special focus on fashion shows and weddings. After graduating college she moved to New York City to advance her career in event planning. She is currently an Assistant Vice President, Events Manager in the Financial Industry executing global events. With her extensive travel and cultural experiences, Sara has seen first hand the widespread suffering in this world. She is honored to be the President, Director of Events of the Silver Lining Society and looks forward to being part of a team that can have a direct effect on making a difference in the world of childhood cancer.
Jaimie Glick, MD graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and went on to earn her Medical Degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate College of Medicine. While at SUNY Downstate she was given the Benjamin Bender MD Award for Excellence in Clinical Dermatology. She then completed her internship at Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and returned to SUNY Downstate for her residency in dermatology. Dr. Glick has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, authored several book chapters and has given numerous lectures in dermatology. She is humbled and proud to have been the first president of the Silver Lining Society and believes “Silver Lining Society is more than a group of people, it is a strong team of leaders that stand to save lives.”
RIKI UDELL | Director of Operations
Riki Udell graduated from Syracuse University with a nutrition degree in 2006. From July of 2006 to May 2013, Riki worked as the Corporate Sales Manager at OneWayFurniture.com. Riki is currently an Event Coordinator in the Financial Industry executing Corporate Events. Since Silver Lining Society was founded, Riki continues to contribute her time and energy to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer. Combining her big heart and passion, Riki sits on the board of executives as the Director of Operations, where she’ll focus her efforts on enhancing SLS procedures and planning events. Knowing what cancer can do to a family, Riki is dedicated to making a difference and expanding the growth of Silver Lining Society.
NADIA KRALOVIC | Director of Relations
Nadia Kralovic is a Physician Assistant specializing in Malignant Hematology. She received her Master’s degree at A.T. Still University in Arizona, where she was awarded the Dean’s Leadership Award and completed her Bachelor’s degree at SUNY Oswego. Actively participating in philanthropic efforts has become a driving passion for her throughout the years. Nadia has volunteered in local events providing medical care to under-served communities. She traveled to Haiti to assist in medical relief efforts working closely with the international relief teams. Her involvement in Hope & Heroes began in 2009 when she organized The Fight for Hope Fitness Marathon. She was ecstatic to become involved with Silver Lining Society when she moved back to New York City from Arizona. “Every day I am inspired by the strength of these patients, it fuels my motivation to work with Silver Lining Society, raise awareness and take every step to help find a cure.”
JAMIE KRONFELD | Director of Communications
Jamie Kronfeld graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management in 2009. After graduating, Jamie began working in public relations at MWW Group where she worked on accounts including: McDonalds, Keep A Child Alive, the city of Newport, Jersey City, and Product of the Year. In 2011, Jamie started at London Misher Public Relations where she is currently an Account Supervisor overseeing day-to-day accounts for all long term media relations clients and events including: Phoenix House, Super Saturday to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, Usher’s New Look Foundation, National Dance Institute (NDI), EDENS and more. Jamie’s father has been involved with Hope & Heroes for many years which initially inspired Jamie to get involved with SLS. Sitting on the Board as Director of Communications is an incredible honor, and Jamie looks forward to continuing to generate awareness for Silver Lining Society and childhood cancer research.
TJ MARSÉ | Director of Publicity
TJ Marsé graduated from the University of Hartford with a major in Business Management. He is currently the Director of Business Development with Flex Marketing Group, a digital advertising and marketing firm in New York City. He loves traveling and playing sports especially golf, tennis and snowboarding. TJ has been working with the Silver Lining Society since its inception. Unfortunately, cancer has afflicted several of TJ’s friends and family, making the cause particularly close to his heart. He is looking forward to many more incredible Silver Lining Society events and hopes that one day cancer will be completely eliminated.
Stephanie Maslin graduated from Columbia University, Teachers College, in 2003 with dual graduate degrees in Special Education and Early Education. Before that, she attended Hofstra University also receiving two degrees, one in Elementary Education and another in Psychology. After college, she immediately began teaching in the classroom as well as working home-based Early Intervention cases. Stephanie currently teaches in the classroom and tutors both typical and special needs children. Stephanie’s strong interest in children makes the Silver Lining Society a perfect match for her. She joined the executive board of SLS as a director in 2008 and continues to help SLS raise funds and awareness for Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund.
MICHAEL GRANT | Director of Recruitment
Michael Grant graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a major in Finance. Michael works at Carl Marks Advisory Group, a highly regarded investment and merchant bank focused on the needs of its middle-market clients. Michael assists companies by providing financial analysis regarding restructuring alternatives and turnaround scenarios for under-performing companies and their stakeholders. Michael has been working with the Silver Lining Society since 2009 and joined the executive board in 2012. He continues to help SLS raise funds and awareness for Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund.
ERICA PEZZELLO | Secretary
Erica Pezzello graduated Cum Laude from the Frank G. Zarb school of Business at Hofstra University with a BBA in Accounting. She received such accolades as inductions to Beta Gamma Sigma honor society, Phi Eta Sigma honor society, Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society and Beta Alpha Psi honor society where she was appointed President. Upon graduation from Hofstra University Erica was hired at Ernst & Young as an associate in the Assurance and Advisory Business Services Department (AABS). In 2006 Erica commenced her career at Empire Office, the largest Steelcase dealer nationally, where she currently serves as the Manager of Sales Administration and has the pleasure of working on such prestigious accounts as Conde Nast, Deloitte, and Tory Burch. As early as high school Erica’s passion for philanthropy blossomed when she embarked on fundraising efforts for countless hospitals to assist in enhancing the research in the fight against pediatric cancer. Erica has immense admiration for the efforts set forth by the dedicated team at Silver Lining Society and is deeply honored to be selected as secretary.
MICHELLE TOLKIN | Secretary
Michelle Tolkin received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in Communication and minors in English and Film. After working in marketing at Digitas, Michelle went on to get her MBA from Columbia Business School. She is currently working for American Express. Michelle is excited and honored to be a part of the SLS executive board and looks forward to its continued success in raising funds and awareness for Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund.
